Before you start, your exchange account needs advanced identity verification completed and two-factor authentication active.

How to create your API keys

Follow these steps to connect your exchange to TradingIA. It takes less than 5 minutes and applies the same way to Binance, Kraken and OKX.

Five minutes on the clock, six screens

The flow is the same across the three exchanges; only the menu names change.

  1. 1. Open API management

Inside your exchange account, go to the API area: this is the screen where keys are created, listed, and revoked.

    Account › API Management
  2. 2. Choose the key type

Choose the system-generated HMAC key: it is the one we recommend and the one TradingIA signs on every order.

    Key type › System-generated
  3. 3. Name it

Label it so you can recognize it at a glance the day you want to revoke it, without touching the rest of your keys.

    Label › TradingIA-spot
  4. 4. Complete verification

The exchange will request two-factor authentication and, depending on the case, an email or SMS code. Without advanced identity verification, it will not let you create the key.

    2FA › Email › SMS
  5. 5. Configure permissions

Reading and spot trading enabled; withdrawal, never. This is the step that ensures your funds cannot leave the exchange.

    See the table
  6. 6. Add the IP whitelist

Restrict the key to our address: it will only respond from TradingIA servers. Many exchanges expire unrestricted keys.

    Copy the IP

The permission we never enable

In step 5 you will see: reading and spot in green; futures only to hedge a position; withdrawal off and locked.

TradingIA does not request withdrawal on any exchange. Without that checkbox, no one with the key can move your coins out of your account.

Now, save the keys. When you confirm, the exchange shows the secret key only once: copy it and paste it into TradingIA at that same moment, because it cannot be viewed again afterward.
